Installing the Water Tank
 |
-
Once the concrete has dried, lower the tank in to the hole. If your have been supplied a neck ring this should be cut to length to finish flush with the ground.
-
To stop the water tank from rising up out of the ground when the water table rises, we recommend you backfill 450-460mm deep around the tank with concrete.
- If you live in a high water table area, then you should use more concrete. If you are unsure, contact your local builder.
- Once the concrete has set, backfill the remaining space with pea shingle and surround materials.

Aftercare
Most underground water tanks don't need any aftercare straightway. If the water is undisturbed for a period of time, it may become stagnant and start to smell. Over many years of use the water tank may require cleaning, which can be done by using a mop.
